Today was a great day for me. It started off with a great surprise; media was present for our departure from the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. I was filled with emotions to also see some friends that came to see me off…thank you friends. We rode for 78 km; the weather was cloudy and cool…and many mosquitoes. This evening, pains from past side effects have come back to haunt me; my hip is hurting (was injured after I blackout) and my knees… but nothing major enough to stop me. Next destination? Red Deer tomorrow!

Aujourd’hui fût une première journée extraordinaire. Cela a commencé par la présence de quelques médias d’Edmonton qui ont répondu à l’invitation. De plus, beaucoup d’émotions de voir des amis présents pour le début d’un rêve… à vous, merci beaucoup. Nous avons fait 78 km aujourd’hui (météo: nuageux et frais). Le passé revient me hanter ce soir; mal à la hanche qui est toujours resté fragile après une chute suite à une crise d’arythmie et les genoux…mais rien pour m’arrêter. Mercredi, direction Red Deer!
